Manufactured in 1944. Fixed sights, with the two-line address on top of the barrel, "COLT OFFICIAL/POLICE .38" on the left, and the Rampant Colt in the side plate. Fitted with a set of checkered medallion grips. With a Colt "black box", white-on-blue labeled for an Official Police with 5 inch barrel, wood grips and blue finish.

Excellent, with 97% plus blue finish, showing some bright edge wear, minor spotting concentrated around the muzzle, and minor handling marks. The grips are also excellent, with a few light dings. The replacement box is fair, with some tearing on the edges and on the bottom; a matching number is present, but the surrounding area shows evidence of erasure. Mechanically excellent.
