Manufactured in 1957, the first year of production for the Second Generation Buntline. Standard Colt markings with "BB805" stamped on the underside of the barrel and matching serial numbers on the frame, both grip panels, trigger guard and back strap. Comes with the original black box (both serial number and barrel assembly number marked), bore brush, warranty card, "Handling the Handgun" pamphlet and period SAA pamphlet. Also includes what appears to be the original shipping cardboard box with tailored packing materials. Only 4,060 Buntline Specials were manufactured in 1957-1976.

Excellent overall, retaining 98% plus original blue and vibrant original case colors with small spot of wear at the muzzle, cylinder noticeable drag lines and minimal handling evidence. Mechanically excellent. The black box is fair with detached lid side, some separations and wear.
