William Andrew Beckwith's London shop was active from the late 1700s to 1853. The lock is signed "-BECKWITH-" and has scroll and floral engraving. The barrel has "-LONDON-" on top, London proofs on the upper left, a 1 1/8 inch muzzle opening, and roughly 12 gauge bore. The upper tang and brass furniture have scroll engraving. The stock has a checkered wrist. The lower tang is inscribed "CPFA PEARL."

Good with aged patina on the brass, gray patina and minor oxidation on the lock, minor marks and scratches, and distinct markings and engraving. The stock is good and has chips on the forend and toe, fairly crisp checkering, and some minor scrapes and dings. Other than the absent safety switch, it is mechanically fine.
