This is a mid-World War II model 1903A4 Sniper rifle that was manufactured by the Remington Arms Co. in 1943 that is fitted with an all blued Weaver Company commercial 330 telescopic sight with a 2.5X magnification. The scope has a fine cross-hair reticle and the early non-click adjustable windage and elevation knobs. The receiver has the standard markings of "U.S./REMINGTON/MODEL 03-A3" on the left side with the serial number located on the right side below the scope mount. The barrel is roll-stamped on the front end with "RA" over the Ordnance Shell and Flame insignia over the manufacture date of "9-43". The barrel has the later pattern two-groove rifling, used on the majority of Model 1903A4 rifles and correctly does not have any front or rear sights. The scope data plate is stamped "WEAVER 330/PAT'S PEND/W. R. WEAVER CO." and it does not have any serial number or U.S. Army nomenclature markings. The scope is mounted in a set of green parkerized Redfield type scope rings with a green parkerized REDFIELD marked scope base. The rifle is fitted with the distinctive Model 1903A4, walnut "C" stock with the pistol grip and bolt relief cut-out on the right side. The rifle is fitted with the correct, all blued, "R" marked 1903A4 sniper bolt that is correctly bent low to clear the scope, both barrel bands, cutoff, and trigger. It is fitted with a replacement model 1903 parkerized milled trigger guard and floor plate. The barrel and receiver have a olive green parkerized finish. The left side of the stock is stamped with a "RA/Ordnance Cross-Cannon" and "FJA" cartouches and a single circled "P" proofmark in the pistol grip area. The underside of the stock in front of the trigger guard is stamped with various small Remington factory sub-inspection proofmarks.

Very fine with 95% of its arsenal refurbished green parkerized and blued finishes with minor edge and high spot wear. The reoiled stock is also in very fine condition with nice clear cartouches and proofs, showing minimal handling marks on the sides in some areas. The Weaver scope retains 97% of its blue finish overall with clear sharp markings. The optics are clear and the reticle is intact, however the reticle cross-wire has sagged slightly.
