Description:

This carbine has blade front and two leaf rear sights, with a "2-43" Underwood barrel, "U" marked Type I band with "UP" swivel, flat bolt, "IP-A" push button safety, milled guard and unmarked smooth magazine catch. Fitted with a 2 rivet, "high wood" forearm and pistol grip stock with a circled "P" at the end of the grip. The right face of the buttstock is marked with the crossed cannon stamp and a boxed "SG" inspection cartouche. With canvas web sling.

Rating Definition:

Fine with 98% of the restored dark black parkerized finish remaining, some light handling marks and small traces of edge wear. The stock is also fine with scattered small dings, light chipping around the oiler cut, and a small hairline crack behind the recoil plate. Mechanically excellent.
