Manufactured in 1941, with the "R.S." inspector's mark on the left side of the frame, "17/29" (just 2 digits off) on the rear of the slide, serrated blade front and adjustable notch rear sights, standard markings, checkered hammer and trigger, checkered grips and a two-tone magazine. Import marking on left side of grip frame under the grip.

Fine, with 70% of the original blue finish, showing a few areas cleaned to a bright gray, patches of brown patina, bright edge wear, spotting and dings. The grips are very good, with some chips, dings and oil staining. Mechanically excellent.
