Description:

Manufactured in Belgium prior to the Nazi Occupation, about 2,400 High Power pistols were ordered by Finland. Many were issued to pilots for use as a sidearm and compact survival carbine, being issued at the tail end of the Continuation War and through the entirety of the Winter War. The HP earned a reputation for ruggedness and reliability, though many are believed to have been worn out and destroyed by the rigors of combat. Blade front and tangent rear sights, with the three-line FN Herstal address and Browning patent markings on the left side of the slide, stacked matching numbers on the right side of the slide and frame, and a set of "SA" Finnish Army acceptance markings on the left side of the frame ahead of the slide catch and on the trigger guard. An additional matching number is present on the left side of the chamber, and a Century Arms import mark is present on the underside of the trigger guard. Fitted with checkered grips and a slotted back strap. The included stock is numbered to match the pistol on the right side of the body, with a black leather belt loop and a brown leather flap holster secured with copper rivets.

Rating Definition:

Good, with traces of the blue finish, showing large areas of refinished artificial brown and gray patina on the slide, edge wear and mild handling marks on the balance. The grips are very good, with some dents and dark spots, and the stock is fine, with some scratches and stains on the holster. Mechanically excellent.
