The left side of the slide has the Walther legend and the right side of the pistol has the commercial "crown/N" proof stamped on the slide, chamber and muzzle. The front grip strap is engraved with the letters "R.J." which has been theorized to stand for the Reichs Justiz Ministerium (Reich Justice Ministry), Reich Juderschule (SS officer cadet training school) or Reich Jugend (Hitler Youth). Others have theorized that the RJ is actually RI which would stand for the Reich Ministry of the Interior. Noted PP and PPK expert James L. Rankin has concluded, "There are not many model PP RJ's to be found and their serial number range is approximately 818,000-212,000P." Fitted with checkered Walther banner grips. The magazine has the Walther banner on the left side near the base.

Very fine. The pistol retains 85% original blue finish with holster wear on the slide and thinned grip straps. The grips are fine with an area of wear in the overall crisp checkering and a few minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
