This is a rare police issue "G" Luger pistol, manufactured in 1935 under the "G" date code, and fitted with a takedown sear safety and a magazine well safety; as is typical of Police Lugers, the sear safety is present and functional, and parts of the magazine safety have been cut away to disable it. Fixed sights, with "G" on the chamber and "S/42" on the toggle. A pair of "droop wing eagle/63" proofs are on the right side of the extension, next to the droop wing firing proof, "63" proof on the upper left side of the barrel and the firing proof repeated on the barrel and breechblock. Fitted with straw finished small parts, niter blue pins and springs, and checkered grips. Two magazines are included, both "SCHMEISSER/HAENEL" marked nickel steel, with "2/9581" and "1/7518/starburst/S" on the alloy bases. A 1934 dated Fischer police pattern holster is also included, numbered "9581" to match the pistol and includes a takedown tool.

Very fine, with 85% of the original blue finish, showing some light spotting, edge wear and handling marks. The left grip panel is chipped next to the safety, with the affected area recheckered and some mild dents and stains overall. The holster shows some scuffs and cracking, the latter particularly on the strap. Mechanically excellent.
