Manufactured post-World War I, the Dreyse pistol shows many similarities to the Browning semi-automatic, though with the takedown mechanism shifted to the rear of the slide and a brass pin cocking indicator. Fixed sights, with "RHEINMETALL ABT. SOMMERDA" on the left side of the slide between two "diamond in circle" proofs, matching numbers on the frame and both ends of the slide, and a pair of smooth grips. Two nickel finished magazines are included, each with the "diamond" trademark, as is a brown holster. While the retention strap is leather, the rest of the holster is constructed from a rubberized cloth; though not explicitly marked or documented, holsters of this sort of construction are associated with WWII-era production, where "Ersatz" (substitute, or replacement) materials were used to conserve leather supplies, especially late in the war when resources were especially tight.

Very fine, with 80% of the original blue finish, showing some bright edge wear, areas of brown and gray patina, and mild spotting and handling marks. The grips are fine, with some dents and dings. The holster material is stiff, with some flaking and cracking of the strap, generally very fine. Mechanically functions, but firing pin indicator/striker is broken.
