Only 300 of this commemorative were manufactured and released in 1986 with this example bearing the experimental serial number "EXPDU186", similar to other Winchester factory experimental firearms in this auction, as well as an 18 inch barrel, unlike the 20 inch barrel on its publicly released counterparts. This appears to be a late prototype example, as it shows the standard markings and features of the public release as well as the receiver engraving showing a deer/woodland scene on the right and a duck/marsh and Ducks Unlimited logo on the left. There is also a Ducks Unlimited logo medallion in the right side of the buttstock.

Excellent overall, retains 99% plus original gold and blue finishes with a few light handling marks and crisp grip checkering. Still with factory grease. Mechanically excellent.
