Manufactured in the mid-late 20th Century by, Texas and Oklahoma native, Louis Bryant. These spurs, like most of his work emulate J.R. McChesney's style; with this particular pair being McChesney's "coiled snake" pattern. The upturned heel bands are double mounted with silver and copper snakes with gem stone eyes, as well as drop-shanks with chap guards and spoked rowels. The heel bands are marked "BRYANT" under the lateral buttons. The floral pattern stamped leather straps are marked "BOB MARRS/MAKER/AMARILLO. TEXAS". Provenance: Bruce Bartlett and David Hewitt Collection who custom ordered them directly from Louis Bryant. Heel band width: 1/2" max. Shanks: 2 3/8" Rowel diameter: 1 1/2" Heel opening: 3 1/8".

Very fine overall, showing antiqued brown patina with a few scattered light handling marks and lightly patinated silver/copper mountings. The leather shows very minimal wear with crisp stamping.
