Description:

Manufactured by contemporary spur maker Bill Adamson, who in 2002, was awarded "Spur Maker of the Year" by the Academy of Western Artists. Adamson is also a founding member, hall of fame inductee, and past president of the National Bit, Spur, and Saddle Collectors Association. These spurs show lightly engraved diamond pattern silver mountings on the upturned heel bands and "arrow" drop shanks with chap guards ending in toothed rowels. They have unmarked basket weave pattern leather straps with buckles made by Adamson. Heel band width: 1 3/4" (large diamonds) Shanks: 2 3/4" Rowel diameter: 1 3/4" Heel opening: 3 1/8".

Rating Definition:

Very fine, showing mostly antiqued brown patina and slightly age darkened silver mountings with some scattered very light oxidation and minimal wear. The leather is also very fine with some light verdigris near the buckles and very minimal wear.
