The accompanying factory letter lists this revolver with blue finish, .45 caliber chambering and barrel length not listed (usually indicates 7 1/2 inches) and confirms the grip material. It was shipped to B. Kittridge & Co., Cincinnati, Ohio, on July 1, 1876. Matching serial numbers are on the frame, trigger guard, back strap, cylinder and barrel.

Very good, retaining 30% of the period retailer applied nickel with the balance a smooth dark brown patina. The slightly shrunken grip is also very good with typical age cracking. Mechanically excellent.
