Manufactured in 1979 with factory class "D" floral scroll engraving. The original grips are carved in the style of standard Colt "eagle" grips and are marked "C-26/AJE/INDIA/16" on the inside of each panel. The included factory letter confirms the current configuration, including the carved grips, along with shipment to Howco Distributors Inc. of Laurel, Maryland on 17 March 1981. Also includes a Colt leatherette case.

Excellent, retains 99% plus original casehardened and blue finishes with only the slightest handling marks. The grips are also excellent with a few hairline age cracks and crisp carving. Mechanically excellent. The case is very fine with some light corner wear.
