Manufactured in 1931 and subsequently masterfully engraved by Master Engraver John Adams Jr. The slide has standard markings and fixed blade and notch sights. The pistol features full coverage, sharp, foliate and scroll engraving with punch dot backgrounds, checkerboard accents and zig-zag borders around the back strap and heel. The bottom right of the frame is signed "JJA II". Smooth grips with inset silver Rampant Colt medallions. With modern, fitted hardwood display case with wine colored velvet interior. The included Adams & Adams letter lists this pistol as engraved by John Adams Jr. with "D" Helfricht style engraving and finished in September 2010.

Very fine as master embellished by John Adams Jr., with 99% of the deep blue finish remaining, sharp engraving, and some light handling marks. The grips are fine with a visible crack on the right panel, and some minor cracks around the screw bolsters. Mechanically excellent. Case is excellent with some small exterior dings.
