The included letter from Adams & Adams Custom Engravers states that this revolver was engraved by John J. Adams Sr. of Vershire, Vermont in 2016. The letter lists the serial number correctly with an incorrect serial number handwritten next to it. Adams previously worked as a freelance engraver for Colt and Ruger. This example shows 75% plus ("C" grade) coverage oak leaf and scroll engraving with a Native American bust on the left barrel flat and a bison on the right, as well as a Native American village scene and a bear on the frame. Adams has signed his work on the underside of the frame. It is beautifully finished in black nickel except for the trigger guard/grips straps which are gold plated. Includes the original box (faint serial number has been retraced).

Very fine overall as master embellished by John J. Adams Sr., retains 99% plus black nickel and gold finishes with only the slightest handling marks. Mechanically excellent. The box is fair with moderate wear and some tape repairs.
