This fine bespoke Holloway & Naughton over/under shotgun includes a brief email from Andrew Harvison of Holloway & Naughton stating that this gun is the first of a new model produced for a US client and is one of only a few of this type. With blue barrels with a low profile, matte solid rib marked "HOLLOWAY & NAUGHTON ENGLAND" with a single brass bead sight, 2 3/4 inch chambers with automatic ejectors, modified/full chokes, faint Birmingham nitro proofs on the flat, and marked "PREMIER ENGLISH SHOTGUNS LTD" and "W.T.T. STERLING V.A./ NOT FOR STEEL SHOT" on opposite sides of the bottom barrel underneath the forend. Bright coin finished side lock action and lock plates with an elegantly sculpted fence, and full coverage, very finely detailed scroll engraving surrounding game bird and dog scenes with a setter and a pointer flushing a woodcock on the right lock, a pointer and grouse scene on the left, detailed pointer bust on the underside, and a woodcock on the rolled trigger guard for a left-handed shooter. The trigger plate is signed "BJ Wiseman" to the right of the trigger and marked with the serial number "001/12" to the left. The lower tang is also scroll engraved with "HOLLOWAY & NAUGHTON" in gold inlay. With a single non-selective trigger and manual sliding tang safety. Highly figured Turkish walnut straight grip buttstock with carved tear drop flats, rounded forearm with intricate Anson style push button latch, fully engraved fittings including an extended Boss style forend iron, blank gold initial oval, and checkered bare butt. With a leather bound takedown case with red cloth interior, leather Holloway & Naughton interior trade label, pair of snap caps, oil bottle, two piece wood cleaning rod, and cleaning rod heads. Bore and stock measurements (U/O): chambers proved and measured at 70mm (2 3/4"); bores 9 inches from the breech proved and measured at 18.7mm (.736); chokes measured .018/.032; minimum wall thickness .028/.025; drop at comb 1 5/8 inches; drop at heel 2 5/8 inches; length of pull 13 1/2 inches; weight 7 lbs. 7 oz.

Excellent overall. 99% original deep rust blue finish remains with some very light handling marks and some small takedown marks under the forearm. The receiver and locks have crisp, highly detailed engraving. The wood has intense dark figure, attractive mineral lines, crisp checkering, and just a few very small dings. Mechanically excellent. Case is very good exterior dings and scuffs, and storage marks.
