The barrel is fitted with a beaded blade ramp front sight with flip up moon sight and "100" marked notch rear sight with gold inlaid sight line. The top of the barrel has "HARTMANN & WEISS, HAMBURG - LONDON" in gold ahead of the rear sight. The Zeiss Diavari-ZA 1.5-6x42 scope is on a claw mount. Fine and beautiful engraved scrollwork is featured on the breech section of the barrel and throughout on the receiver, floorplate, trigger guard and stock grip cap. The barrel is blue, the receiver, floorplate, trigger guard and stock grip cap are casehardened, and the casehardened bolt has a nitre blue extractor. The serial number is engraved on the right side of the barrel and receiver (inside a banner), and the caliber designation "300 WA. MAGN." is engraved on the left side of the barrel. A fine gold inlaid band is featured at the breech of the barrel. The action has an aftermarket single set wide serrated trigger, and "F" and "S" are in gold on the safety. The nicely figured 14 inch pistol grip stock features multi-point checkering on the forearm and grip area, horn forend cap, raised cheekpiece and buttpad. German nitro proof marks. Import marked. Comes with a full length leather bound case featuring a Hartmann & Weiss label on the interior of the lid and with a canvas cover and test target numbered to gun. Excellent. The barrel retains 98% original blue finish showing some mild high edge wear, some minor handling evidence, and some fading to a plum color. The extractor retains 97% original nitre blue. The remaining metal surfaces retain 97% plus original case colors. The stock is excellent showing scattered minor handling evidence and a few blemishes in the overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The scope has clear optics. The case is excellent. A highly attractive bolt action rifle with Zeiss scope that will make a wonderful addition to your sporting arms collection.
