The highest grade executed by Remington's Custom Shop, a Premier Remington started life from a set of hand-picked and fitted components, receiving an expert touch from the very beginning. The engraving alone could take upward of 40 hours, and the arm would be completed with top-grade hand checkered furniture. Most famous as the shotgun that introduced thousands of Army Air Force door gunners to the art of aerial gunnery, this Model 11 has received the full Custom Shop treatment. Single bead sight on the barrel, with an improved modified choke and a 7 inch wedge of punch dot backed scroll engraving on each side of the breech. The receiver and trigger guard show 9% plus coverage of fine engraving, which includes hand-engraved serial numbers. The lion's share of the engraving is traditional American scroll and punch dot work, with starburst motifs on the screws, a dog's head on the trigger guard, and a sequence of three game scenes on each side, the left showing a pair of hunting dogs among high grass in the center and game birds standing or in flight on either side and the right featuring two ducks taking flight from a marsh in the center flanked by additional game bird scenes. No signature is present. Fitted with extra fancy hand-checkered walnut furniture, with a knurled and engraved magazine cap, angled and curved panel borders, unmarked gold inscription panel on the belly of the buttstock, Torel-brand leather sling, a belt clip shell carrier (two empty brass shells included) and a ventilated Pachmayr recoil pad.

Very good, with traces of the original blue finish, showing areas of refinished artificial brown on the receiver, spotting and handling marks. The refinished stock is good, with a mended hairline crack visible in the left rear side of the forearm, along with a number of dents and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
