Description:

Manufactured in 1959/60. 4-screw frame, red ramp front sight, white outline adjustable rear sight and checkered S&W medallion target grips. Matching numbers on the inside of the frame, butt and cylinder. Barrel rollmarks "forward" toward the muzzle from the usual location on Model 29s of the 1957-1960 period. A known but seldom-seen variation of interest to serious .44 Magnum collectors! From the John Ross collection, author of the bestselling novel "Unintended Consequences".

Rating Definition:

Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue and casehardened finish showing cylinder drag line, faint collector-type handling evidence, and crisp grip checkering. Mechanically excellent.
