Description:

The accompanying factory letter lists this revolver with a 4 inch barrel, rare nickel finish and checkered extension walnut grips when shipped on September 27, 1917, and delivered to Hibbard Spencer & Bartlett Co. of Chicago, Illinois. Matching low three digit serial number ("283") on the front strap, cylinder and barrel. The box is numbered to the gun and has a correct end label.

Rating Definition:

Excellent, retaining 97% plus original nickel plating taking on a frost appearance with scattered high edge wear. Vibrant original case colors remain on the hammer and trigger. The grips are very fine with minimal handling marks and a few blemishes in the overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The box is fair with split seams and tears.
