Description:

This is a DWM model 1906 contract pistol with the "crown/M2" monogram over the chamber, the personal mark of Manuel II, King of Portugal from 1908 to 1910. In addition to the crest it has three "circled triangle" army acceptance marks, on the left side of the receiver, the underside of the barrel, and the rear of the frame. The "GELADEN" extractor marking has been replaced with "CARREGADA", and the safety marking is absent. Standard DWM monogram on the toggle and matching exterior numbers. With grip safety and unmarked aluminum base magazine. With an unmarked black leather holster.

Rating Definition:

Very good, with refinished grip straps, frame rails, muzzle, trigger guard, with the balance retaining half of the faded blue finish. A mixed brown artificial patina is forming on the surface, along with some smooth wear and minor pitting on the high edges and light handling marks. The grips are very good, with mild pressure dents on the sharp checkering, and the action is fine. Holster is very good.
