Manufactured prior to World War One, this Commercial Luger uses an early pattern safety, 'up' for safe (locking out the grip safety) and 'down' for firing. Unlike most examples on the American market (which had their original safety marking milled bright), this Luger has the "GESICHERT" marking on the lower area. Fixed sights, with no date marking on top of the chamber and the "DWM" monogram on the front toggle link. Crown "B", "U" and "G" proofs are present on the appropriate parts, and matching external "civilian pattern" serial numbers; the safety switch is unnumbered, but the grip safety is a match. Fitted with straw colored small parts, niter blue pins, springs and screws, checkered grips and a nickel magazine with an unnumbered wood base.

Very fine, with 80% of the blue, showing some light handling marks, spotting on the grip straps, and some edge wear. The grips are fine, with some dings and dark spots. Mechanically excellent.
