Description:

This is an excellent example of an original IMI manufactured fully automatic Uzi submachine gun. This was one of the most famous submachine guns in the early 1960/70s that was heavily used and seen in all the Middle East conflicts between the country of Israel and their hostile neighboring countries. These were so successful and highly regarded that for a short time they were even used by the U.S. Secret Service. This is the rarer version in that it has the fixed (however removable) hardwood stock, which would make it a very short (17 inches) fully automatic machine pistol. These used a stamped and welded heavy sheet metal receiver, top cover and lower trigger housing. They still fully machined the all steel bolt, barrel and various internal components. The rear of the receiver is correctly marked "S.M.G. UZI/059748/IMI". The left side of the receiver is also roll marked "INTERARMS ALEXANDRIA VIRGINIA". This example has been slightly modified by the removal of the wooden forend and replacing it with a polymer plastic vertical pistol grip assembly. Thus making it very controllable in FA fire. It has an original fully automatic, Israeli marked (in Hebrew) lower trigger housing with the "safe, semi and fully auto" markings. This very desirable fully automatic submachine gun comes with one 30 round magazine.

Rating Definition:

Excellent with 90% plus of the parkerized/blue finish the metal parts showing only minor edge and high spot wear. The hard wood buttstock is in excellent condition with only minor handling marks on the sides in some areas. This is an excellent example of a very scarce original Israeli UZI SMG. NOTE: This weapon is a restricted, National Firearms Act (NFA) Class 3, Fully Automatic Weapon, that is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE) under the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 478. This weapon is currently registered as being "LIMITED TO USE AS A SALES SAMPLE (Pre-86)" and as such can only be purchased by an FFL, with a Class 2 or Class 3 SOT License.
