Blade and notch sights, with the one line Hartford address on top of the barrel, scroll engraving on the right side, gold accent on the ejector housing and a gold eagle with shield clutching a banner marked "JOHN WAYNE". The cylinder has gold rope designs on each end, with a gold accented scene of Wayne on horseback on one side and a portrait shot backed by the American flag on the reverse. Light scroll engraving on the frame with gold patents and Rampant Colt, with the back strap signed in gold with the Red River brand near the hammer. Fitted with a set of smooth two piece grips. Includes an Colt styrofoam carton marked "Insp By Maria M." According to the included factory letter, this revolver was retained by the factory as a display piece and sample of the John Wayne Commemorative. All features are confirmed by this letter.

Excellent, with 99% plus of the original blue finish, showing a few minor handling marks overall. Carton is fair, incomplete with tape and dents. Grips are excellent, with light handling marks and attractive grain. Mechanically excellent.
