Fixed sights, with the standard markings on the barrel, Rampant Colt on the frame, checkered grips with Colt medallions and Mershon "Sure Grip" grip adaptor mounted on the front strap. With a brown box labeled for a Colt Detective Special, and a factory letter which confirms the features, and states the arms was retained as a factory sample for testing with the grip adaptor.

Excellent, with 97% plus of the original blue/anodized black finish, showing mild edge wear and handling marks. The very fine grips show a few light pressure dents. Cylinder is stiff, otherwise mechanically excellent.
