The document from T.E. Hall ( page 2 of a factory letter for multiple guns) lists this rifle in .32-40 with a 36 inch long #2 octagon barrel, plain trigger, fancy checkered stock, German silver knife blade front sight, and Winchester express rear sight. It also lists this rifle as shipped on January 18, 1909. The rifle remains in the listed configuration and also has sling eyes on the bottom of the barrel and stock, the two-line address and patent marking on top of the barrel, "WP" proofs on top at the breech, "32-40" on the upper left barrel flat at the breech, the three-line patent and trade mark marking on the upper tang, the script serial number on the lower tang, and a casehardened crescent buttplate.

Excellent with 98% plus original blue and casehardened finish, slight edge wear, and minor handling and storage marks. The wood is also very fine and has crisp checkering, smooth oiled finish, and attractive figure. Mechanically excellent.
