Description:

Model 2 version manufactured in 1860. Features a brass cone/post front sight, manicule followed by "+COLT'S PT./1855+" and "ADDRESS COL. COLT/HARTFORD, CT. U.S.A.+" on top of the barrel, the matching serial number on the bottom of the barrel, the Indian fight scene and matching serial number on the cylinder, varnished walnut grip, and the serial number on the butt. It comes in a hardwood case with a fitted interior lined in purple fabric along with a "COLTS/PATENT" bullet mold, double sided eagle powder flask with slanted spout, Eley Bros. cap tin, and several lead balls and bullets.

Rating Definition:

Very fine with 95% plus original blue finish on the barrel and frame, 30% original blue on the cylinder, 90% of the vibrant original case colors on the loading lever and hammer, and minor scratches and edge wear. The grip is excellent and has nearly all of the glossy varnish, minor dents and scratches, and light edge wear. Mechanically functions as the hammer retracts, but the hammer does not engage the trigger at half or full-cock. The accessories and relined case are very good with mild storage wear including staining on the lining and nice aged patina on the brass.
