Measures approximately 5 1/2" long (excluding charger) and 2 7/8" wide with a brown lacquer finish. The design is a military motif with flags, naval paraphernalia, and a prominent cannon below crossed long guns and handguns. "COLTS PATENT" is just below the crossed handguns. Most likely a flask for a Colt New Model 1860 Army based on the length of the charger, will work with an 1851 Navy. When you need one, you will regret not buying this example!

Very good plus with an attractive smooth patina throughout. A few scattered small dents. The seams are all tight and it functions properly.
