This Registered Magnum, number 3559, is an incredibly rare variation. It is one of an estimated eight factory built Registered Magnums with an 8 1/4 inch barrel and is the only Registered Magnum with factory installed 500 yard sights. The accompanying factory letter lists this revolver with an 8 1/4 inch barrel, blue finish, and King 500 yard front sight when shipped on April 25, 1938, to Harry Goldstein of Tulsa, Oklahoma. This order was for 5 Registered Magnums with an 8 1/4 inch barrel and blue finish. The registration numbers were 3558-3562, and total billing cost was $194.98. The revolver is fitted with a 500 yard adjustable "U" notch rear sight, a King hi-viz red bead front sight on refector base and checkered S&W medallion Magna grips. Matching serial numbers are found on the butt, right grip panel, cylinder and ejector shroud. The Type II box, which features an image of the Magnum fitted with Magna stocks, has the correct white label numbered to the gun ("56352/Reg-3559). Comes with two bore brushes and an extra "U" notch rear sight insert.
