This is a nice example of a two barrel set Winchester Model 21 Trap Skeet Grade Shotgun manufactured in 1937. Both sets of barrels have a red front bead and white mid bead sights on the concave matte solid rib spuriously marked "CUSTOM BUILT BY WINCHESTER" in a panel at the breech end. Both have a 1 inch wedge of scroll engraving on the breech end of the barrels. Both are numbered to the gun, have jeweled lug, breech faces, ejectors and flats. One set of barrels is 26 inches in length, with 2 3/4 inch chambers and choked WS1/WS2. The second set is 30 inches in length with 3 inch chambers and choked modified/full. Both sets share the same forearm. The frame, trigger guard, break lever and forearm hardware are engraved with floral scroll designs. Each side of the frame also has an oval panel with a game bird scene and there is a round panel on the underside depicting a hunting dog with a game bird in its mouth. The trigger plate is also marked "TRAP/SKEET". The water table is marked with a Winchester proof and the three-line patent numbers on the right side and "MADE IN U.S.A. MODEL 21" over the two-line address on the left side. The matching serial number is marked on the upper tang, forearm hardware and on both barrel sets. Gold washed trigger with selector, tang mounted manual safety with gold "SAFE", jeweled water table and breech face, and mounted with an extra fancy XXX checkered walnut beaver tail forearm and pistol grip stock with a Winchester recoil pad. Length of pull is 13 3/4 inches. The shotgun come with a Outre hard leather takedown case with leather straps and handle and brown felt lining.

Very fine as custom embellished. The shotgun retains 98% blue finish with some mild muzzle and edge wear. There is some wear on the left barrel of the skeet choked set caused by the upper edge of the forearm. There is also a minor scratch on the muzzle end of the right barrel. The wood is very good. There is a small minor crack repair on the rear of the forearm, and the checkering has been freshened. Otherwise overall the wood shows only light handling marks. The markings and engraving are crisp and clear. Mechanically excellent. The case is excellent.
