Manufactured in 1894 and subsequently custom engraved with a cattle brand motif. The revolver is nearly completely covered with cattle brand and floral scroll engraving much in the style of Cole Agee, Weldon Bledsoe or David Harris. The engraving is well executed in the typical Western style with the recognizable "XIT", 101, circle "D" and many other famous Texas brands with a punch dot background. The top of the ejector housing has a simple wavy line and dot design. The top of the barrel is marked with the one address, "45 COLT" midway on the left side in a panel and the matching serial number appears on the bottom of the frame, trigger guard and the back strap. The entire revolver is gold plated and it is fitted with smooth grips.

Very good has professionally refinished and embellished with 90% gold finish remaining showing a small area of flaking on the muzzle, some high edge wear and some thinning. The grips are fine. The engraving and markings are clear. The action is fine.
