Manufactured in 1911. Fixed sights, with the two-line/two-block patent dates and address on the left side of the slide ahead of the Rampant Colt, and the caliber markings on the right ahead of the ejector port. The trigger guard is marked "VP" and "3" on the left side, with a knurled casehardened spur hammer, niter blue trigger, unmarked full blue magazine and a pair of hard rubber grips with Colt banners and Rampant Colt imprints. A Colt "black box" is included, properly numbered and labeled for the pistol, with the one-page instruction sheet/price list and "Special Instructions" pamphlet.

Near new in box, with minor handling marks. 99% plus bright original high polish blue remains overall. 99% vivid case colors and niter blue are present on the hammer and trigger, respectively, and the grips are sharply checkered with sharp detail in the markings and decorations. The box is fine, with wear and tear concentrated on the edges, a small corner of label loss around the caliber marking, and some staining, with the instruction sheets showing staining and edge tears appropriate to age. Mechanically excellent. If you want to own one example, you need not look any further!
