Manufactured in 1890. The barrel has the two line Hartford address stamped on top and "COLT. D.A. 38" on the left side. The left side of the frame has the three line patent date marking. Visible numbers match with the assembly number "554" on the loading gate. Nickel plated with niter blue trigger, hammer with polished sides and trigger. Fitted with very attractive bird head pearl grips. Included with a reloading tool marked, IDEAL M'F'G CO./NEW HAVEN. CT USA/38 L - IL.

Excellent. The revolver retains 90% plus original nickel finish showing some minor flaking on the flutes and face of cylinder. The attractive grips are near excellent with a small semi-circular hairline scratch on the left panel near the top. Mechanically excellent.
