Manufactured in 1918. Blade front and flat-top "U" notch rear sights, two-line, two block address and patent markings on left side of slide, "MODEL OF 1911. U.S. ARMY" marking on right side, "RIA" rebuild mark on right side of frame, standard "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" marking on left with a single "eagle head/S11" inspection mark, long smooth trigger, short grip safety, smooth flat mainspring housing, replacement "HS" marked High Standard barrel, and checkered plastic grips. With WWI "punch and saw" cut magazine with pinned lanyard loop base. There is a small removable collection marking on the trigger guard.

Very fine as arsenal refurbished with 90% of the gray/green parkerized finish remaining, some light edge wear, surface scratches, and handling marks overall. The grips are mis-matched (Keyes on the right, Colt on the left), but are otherwise fine with sharp checkering, and some small dings. Mechanically excellent.

Colt frame manufactured in 1918 with U.S. property marking, circled "WGP" Penfield inspection mark, and "AA" Augusta Arsenal rebuild mark on the left side of the frame. The slide is a DSE Inc. government contract replacement with the drawing number "7790314" on the left side and the manufacturer code marking "MfR 2U894" on the right. DSE Inc. was contracted by the U.S. government in 1984 to manufacture replacement parts for government rebuild programs. The barrel is marked with the same "7790314" drawing number. Wide checkered hammer, short grip safety, flat smooth mainspring housing, and checkered grips. Full blue contract replacement magazine.

Fine as arsenal refurbished. 98% plus dark gray parkerized finish remains with some light edge wear and cycling marks. Grips are also fine with some small dings and mildly worn checkering. Mechanically needs some adjustments the thick parkerized finish does not allow it to cycle properly, and the firing pin sticks.
