Blade front sight and folding ladder rear sight graduated to 2,400 yards with the top volley notch, with a "SA/bomb/05" marked barrel and a straight-handled bolt marked "S" on the underside of the rear lug. Smooth "S" pattern stock, with high hump forearm, faint inspection cartouche on the left side, script "P" on the underside of the wrist, brown early pattern 1904 dated Rock Island Arsenal leather sling and a smooth steel trapdoor buttplate with oiler. Includes Springfield Armory bayonet dated "1906" with leather "1906" dated Rock Island Arsenal sheath and hanger.

Rating Definition:

Very fine as professionally restored with 90% of the slightly plum blue remaining, areas of minor edge wear, distinct markings, and handling and cycling marks on the bolt. The wood is also very fine with a visible repair at the left heel of the stock, faint markings, and some small scattered dings. Mechanically excellent.
