Manufactured by Remington for the United States Army in World War II. The sights are properly absent from the barrel and receiver, with "R A/bomb/8-43" on the barrel and the receiver bearing the properly offset "U.S./REMINGTON/MODEL 03-A3" marking on the left side of the receiver ring. The bolt shows "R" markings on multiple parts, with a standard 03-A3 profile safety lever and an A4 pattern contoured bolt handle. The scope is a blue Weaver M73B1 fitted to a Redfield base with a set of twist-off rings. Smooth pistol grip stock, with a circled "P" behind the trigger guard, Spurious "RA", "crossed cannons" and "FJA" on the on the left side ahead of the wrist, and a flat checkered steel buttplate.

Very fine as arsenal refurbished with 95% post-war green parkerized finish remaining, some light oxidation around the muzzle, parkerized bolt, and traces of edge wear. The sanded and re-oiled stock is also fine with light restamped markings, slight gap at the upper receiver tang, and some small scattered dings. Mechanically excellent. The scope is excellent overall.
