Manufactured in 1944. Blade front and flat top rear sights, with the two-line, two-block markings divided by the Rampant Colt on the left side of the matching numbered slide and a "G.H.D." inspected frame with "4/VP" and "55" on the trigger guard. Fitted with a wide checkered hammer, short stamped trigger, long grip safety, arched serrated mainspring housing, reinforced Colt grips, "R" and "C-R" marked full blue magazine, and a "COLT 45 AUTO" marked barrel with a large "G" ahead of the lug. Included with the pistol is a brown leather Enger-Kress holster hand-signed "Fabian" on the back.

Very fine, with 85% of the faded original parkerized finish, showing bright edge wear a gray patina forming on the grip straps and the leading edges of the frame, and mild handling marks overall. The grips are very good, with some light dents and scratches. The holster is fine, with mild scuffing and verdigris buildup. Mechanically excellent.
