Description:

The consignor's notes state this knife was likely manufactured in the period from 1820 to 1830. Features a 9 3/8 inch, single edge clip point blade, full length tang, and slab hardwood handle secured with six copper rivets. Overall length is 14 1/2 inches. Fitted with hand sewn leather sheath with belt loop.

Rating Definition:

Fair. The blade has an untouched dark black/brown patina with several dings and chips along the edge. The handle is also fair with cracks on the right panel, two absent rivet collars, and a dark untouched patina on the rivets.
