Excellent/Desirable Early Production DWM Model 1914 Military Luger Semi-Automatic Pistol Dated 1914 with Holster

This is an excellent example of a DWM Luger with a very early production no suffix serial number. The top of the barrel extension is dated 1914, toggle marked "DWM", the right side of the barrel extension has the three "crown/script letter" proofs next to the "Imperial Eagle" proof. The left side of the barrel extension, front of the frame and the bottom of the barrel are marked with the matching serial number. The partial number "69" is on the various smaller parts. It has the early "Bo26" marked barrel (indicating the barrel was manufactured from Bohler Steel) over the serial number and "8,82" bore dimension below the serial number. The "Imperial Eagle" is also marked on the top right of the barrel and on the left side of the toggle. The safety and extractor are correctly marked "GESICHERT" and "GELADEN", respectively. It has the standard fixed front and rear sights and the back strap has the stock lug. It is fitted with checkered walnut grips with the right side numbered "69" and the left side numbered "50". It has the rust blued metal finish with the straw colored small components and correct nickel plated magazine with the walnut base that is unmarked or numbered. The brown leather holster manufactured by U. Tapezierer and dated "1916" on the inside. Comes with a dismantling tool and correct extra unmarked wood base magazine.

ConditionExcellent with 98% of the original blue finish overall with only minor edge and high spot wear overall. 85% plus of the original straw colors remain on the various smaller parts. The grips are also excellent with nice distinct checkering on both sides showing only minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent. The holster is very good with flex wear, added drainage hole at toe and tight stitching. A super nice, high condition DWM Model 1914 Military Luger with the desirable corresponding 1914 chamber date!
