Description:

Dated "2,2" (February 1927), this is a top notch early production Nambu pistol. The standard sidearm of Imperial Japan for the duration of World War II, many of these early Nambu pistols were effectively destroyed by the rigors of combat and jungle warfare, leaving few examples in good condition. Fixed sights, with the serial number, date and Nagoya proof on the right side, a knurled and ribbed cocking knob, straw finished small parts and ribbed grips. A silver U.S. silver coin dated 1944 is inlaid into the left grip panel. With the exception of the magazine, component numbers are matching overall. Includes an early pattern brown leather clamshell holster and a cleaning rod.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, with 85% of the original blue finish, with mild spotting, edge wear and handling marks. A typical wear pattern is present around the safety, extending onto the grips, with a chip absent from the left panel and some light scuffs, stains and dents. The holster is also very fine, with some staining and scuffing. Mechanically excellent.
