Description:

One of 133 "C" Grade Exhibition Browning Superposed shotguns manufactured with an unknown number being this pattern according to Ned Schwing on page 292 of "The Browning Superposed: John M. Browning's Last Legacy". The left side of the receiver has three pheasants in flight over a forest clearing. The right has three ducks taking off from a pond. Both scenes are bordered with fine floral scrollwork on a punch dot background. The remainder of the receiver is covered with floral scrollwork as well as the trigger guard, tang, and forearm furniture. Mounted on a nicely figured and checkered walnut pistol grip stock and schnabel forearm and checkered butt. The lower left rear of the receiver is signed "J. LEWANCZYK". The included factory letter confirms the grade, gauge, barrel length, and chokes when it was sold to Atlanta Outfitters & Fire of Atlanta, GA, on January 31, 1977. The shotgun is complete in a Browning hard leather takedown case. 2 3/4 inch chambers, full chokes, and 14 1/2 inch length of pull.

Rating Definition:

Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original finishes, limited handling evidence, and crisp grip checkering. The engraving is all sharp. Mechanically excellent. The case is also excellent with minimal wear.
