This L.C. Smith was manufactured by Hunter Arms Co. pre-1913 with standard markings and features including a side lock action lightly engraved with English scroll, a quail scene on the left, and a duck scene on the right. Dual bead sights and silver band inlay on the matte concave rib marked with the one-line Hunter Arms address. Matching numbers on the watertable, forearm, and barrels. Multi-point checkered forearm and finely figured pistol grip stock with horn grip cap and solid rubber recoil pad. Chokes measure at full, 2 3/4 inch chambers, and 14 inch length of pull.

Very good, retains 90% plus refinished blue finish and traces of original case colors in sheltered areas with the balance a smooth silver patina. The reoiled wood is very fine with a few scattered minor handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Provenance: TLC Collection.
