Manufactured from 1875 to 1890. It shows standard markings along with "40 70" and "410" on the bottom barrel flat in front of the forearm. The matching serial number is marked on the lower tang and on the bottom barrel flat along with "VW" under the forearm. Globe front and tang mounted peep sights. Mounted with a smooth walnut forearm with casehardened forend and checkered straight grip stock with a crescent buttplate.

Excellent, retains 90% plus original blue finish and 85% original case colors with thinning on bottom of barrel, the balance a smooth grey patina. The wood is also excellent with some scattered light handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
