The top strap groove is the rear sight.

Rating Definition:

Exceptionally fine with 70% bright original high polish blue finish (strongest on the barrel and cylinder), strong original case colors on the hammer, patches of original silver on the trigger guard, aged patina on the exposed brass, crisp markings and engraving, some minor oxidation/pitting, cylinder drag lines, and mild overall wear. The grips are very fine and have light edge wear, a small flake on the upper right, and light dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
