The Peabody carbines and rifles were manufactured in 1866-1871. Marked with "E" inspectors marks on the major components with a "WC" foreign contract cartouche on the wrist.

Very good plus, showing 30% original finish on the barrel with traces of case colors on the receiver, the remainder is a mix of smooth brown and grey patinas. The stock has some dings and dents but is overall fine. Mechanically excellent.
