Description:

Approximately 122,000 of these New Model Army revolvers were manufactured from 1863-1875. These revolvers would eventually become one of the most widely issued to Union troops during the Civil War. It has standard markings including government inspection marks, "GP" cartouche on the grip, and matching serial number on the frame, barrel, and grip panels with a partial on the trigger guard.

Rating Definition:

Fine, retaining 40% plus original blue with the remainder a brown patina and areas of light oxidation. The grips are also fine with pressure dents and numerous scratches with crisp cartouche. The cylinder stop needs adjustment, otherwise mechanically fine.
