The lock shows the eagle motif over "U.STATES" in front of the cock and "S.NORTH/BERLIN/CON" behind it. Various small parts on the lock are marked "IV". "P/US" and "S.N.Y." at the breech on top of the barrel. Standard markings and features of this rare transitional model of U.S. martial pistol, along with a removable collection mark on the trigger guard.

Rating Definition:

Very good as reconverted to flintlock configuration, showing mostly bright finish and an attractive antique patina on the brass with some scattered light brown patina and minor pitting. The lightly sanded and reoiled wood has some minor dings and a couple hairline cracks. Mechanically fine.
