This musket started its life as a Short Land Pattern of 1768 musket and was reportedly made in Liege, Belgium, on contract. Many of these were used to arm American Tories/Loyalists. These muskets were widely used in the American Revolution by both sides. It has a modern bayonet stud/blade front sight near the muzzle, government markings on top at the breech, the Georgian cipher and "TOWER" on the lock, and brass furniture.

Rating Definition:

Good as reconverted to flintlock configuration with a mix of applied brown and natural brown patina on the lock and barrel, mild pitting concentrated at the breech, aged patina on the brass, some minor chips and slivers absent around the lock mortise and forend, and general mild scratches and dings. Mechanically fine.
